This year instead of listing out all the things I have wanted to do, I deciced to look back and be proud of all the weird and wonderful things I have done to this point in my life. A celebration of facts (no particular order) as it were; hence, The Celebration List.
- Adopted the best dog ever
- Worked as an honest to god actress at Colonial Williamsburg
- Was in a national televised ad (you could only see the back of my head, arm and hand…but dammit, I was there)
- Survived my first ever Yoga class
- Studied abroad in London for a semeter
- Went to Paris for ten days all by myself (I don’t even speak French!)
- Up and quit a high paying job without another one because I wasn’t going to stand for the working conditions
- Find Monty Python and Black Adder rip roaring hysterical
- Learning to love without judging
- Set a goal of being paid for my photography with in a 12 month period and not only had 1 job, but three
- Saw Scotland, the homeland
- Started reading Shakespeare at 11 because I wanted to
- Have done business in Denmark, Sweeden, London, Glasgow, Paris, Manchester, Birmingham, Vienna
- Jumped from Lower mid level (Sr. AE) agency person to Senior Level (SVP, Marketing Manager) agency person in the span of 7 years
- Earned the highest level of performance rating ever given at my company
- Can cook…really cook…like french stuff
- Donated to This American Life
- Painted my apartment in one day
- Facing my fear of failing
- Can read a clinical study and understand what the heck they are trying to say
- Own every US released Beatles Album
- Saw Aretha Franklin and Etta James live
- Can build a movie from stills and a song that tells a story
- Have the best little photoblog community
- Have met Scott Kelby
- Have met Rick Sammon
More to come, but not a bad start.
