This slice of heaven is served from the Shutter Chef Jenfera. The low light and use of clear depth of field makes this inviting scene from the beaches of Aruba postcard perfect.

  1. OMG… so beautiful. Jenfera, you’ve captured the sunset at just the right moment. I also really like the composition with the umbrella and the chairs in the foreground.

Makes me want to kick back with a cold margarita.

  2. Aww, thanks! I have this photo blown up to 16″ x 20″ on my wall in my office. It’s at my back though while I am sitting on my desk, which is just as well. Otherwise I would be daydreaming all day!

  3. I have a daiquiri story about Aruba. The beach you see there is at the all-inclusive Tamarijn Resort. It’s fabulous. One day, we floated on the water down the beach on some inflatable rafts until we ended up at the Bunker Bar – the outdoor beach bar, and yes, the drinks are included too. I waited with the floats while my husband got us some drinks. He handed me my strawberry daiquiri, and just then a strong wind picked up my float and whipped it against my drink, spilling it all over me.

And this is why vacation (with included drinks) is so good. I just laughed hysterically, and jumped back in the water to rinse the drink off me while my husband got me another. Ahhhh. Life is good at an all-inclusive resort!
