Let’s keep the photoshop discussion going…I think it is a valid exploration of when to process or not…or should you always process.

Oh and Dad…check out the comments in the previous post with your picture…seems some of the NE readers are getting outta hand there.

ETA: IvoryHut sent the following email this morning…and it really does provide anoth backbone for our discussion…

when processing really, really works (and is direly needed) … is when you have a camera that won’t cooperate and refuses to capture what your eye sees.

Exhibit 1: this shot that Tim took while we were in Trinidad. It had all the elements of a great shot, but somehow it just wouldn’t register on his camera.

Exhibit 1A: the same shot, kinda K7′d but without the book near me, I’m pretty sure it’s a hack job

Exhibit 2: this shot of a Trinidad fishing port. Again, decent enough straight from the camera, but the photo had a haze that hid the brilliant colors of the day.
